Blog Angel Reveal Link Up

I've been the secret Blog Angel to the lovely Jill of "I Know The Plans I Have For You"

I'm really glad I was assigned a blog that I had never read before! It was so much fun getting to know her "secretly" and learn about her cute family. She does awesome tutorials and giveaways too!

Once I dove into her blog I had a really hard time deciding what I could do to help her. Let's face it, her blog is way more established and popular than mine so I needed to take a few tips from her! 

I chose to leave a random comment here and there and to secretly broadcast her upcoming giveaways. I also asked Rosie for her home address so I could send her a surprise card. I don't know about you, but with a world consumed with all things electronic, a piece of snail mail is gold!

I was so excited when she blogged about reciving the card! 

This whole thing was a lot more difficult than I thought. There were so many times I wanted to just come out and ask her if there was anything I could help her with and just blow my cover. Hopefully the little things helped to brighten her day!

I suggest everyone follow Jill and get to know her. She's a sweet lady!

Birthday Recap

Wednesday: I woke up still feeling sick so we took it pretty easy. Not 2 minutes after opening my eyes I was greeted by husband and puppy and a pile of presents in bed. Tim gave me a lot of amazing things! After getting ready my family came over and I got even more amazing gifts and we all went to lunch.  We came home to our two mint chip ice cream cakes (I guess I shouldn't have bought myself one :x ) and played with my stuff. 

I made these party hats just so we could take one decent picture. Linus was being pretty difficult so every picture it looks like we are strangling him.

This year I got the perfect combination of practical gifts to help me with Doe Eyed Dear ,like an awesome craft desk and a little photo shoot studio with backdrops and lights, and toys.

Yes, toys! Ever since I saw Sophie the Giraffe I've wanted her. Who cares if she's a babys chew toy!? I think its the most adorable thing ever and Tim bought her for me! 

And, are you ready for this?

My parents and my sister went in together and bought me a BLYTHE DOLL! Eeek!!! I still can't believe I own one. I pretty much spent the rest of the day looking at her and googling how to customize her! I cant wait to start!

Thursday was Tim's birthday so I decided to bring him his presents in bed too! After opening gifts we  decided to go hit some balls at the driving range 

Then we went to Yardhouse for lunch where he had this ridiculously tall beer and was a happy camper. After a little nap and some more ice cream cake he decided that he LOVES golf and we went to another driving range!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed with this driving skills. I'm a pretty good instructor :)

His last request for the day was sushi and who am I to say no to the birthday boy!?

I actually found a roll that I liked!!! Cross that off my 30 by 30 list!

We had a great two days and the celebration continues Monday when we go to Glen Ivy Hot Springs!

Early Birthday Present!

 Best early present ever!!!! We've been thinking about trading my car in for a "family" car ** I'm not preggo!" ** and after some looking and test driving we decided on the 2013 Ford Explorer. Saturday morning we went to the dealership and came home sans Jetta but with this beautiful car!!

I'm in love!

We've already customized our desktop :)

Unfortunately the only time I've driven it was to the doctors, but once I'm over this lame sinus infection I'm gonna be driving all over town!

Girls Day: Glen Ivy Hot Springs

Last week Mom, Devon, and I went to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for a day of relaxation.

We had all day access to mineral pools, lounge pools, spas, saunas, steam rooms, and the best part you ask? A MUD BATH!!!

  

So the mud bath consisted of wading into muddy water and grabbing globs of mud to rub on yourself. After you were covered you let it dry in the sun till your body felt like it was cracking then rinse off in the shower.

Devon brought her underwater camera and I could not take a decent picture to save my life!

I highly recommend this place if you're ever in Southern California! Tim and I are planning to go for our birthdays next week.
