Hello 2019

Goodbye 2018.

You were full of memories and far too many photos to sift through for my usual end of the year post.
I will deem you the year of growing, and navigating life with a toddler and sass...oh yes, sass.

Hello 2019.

This will be the year of new beginnings and simplifying our life.
The year we add one more precious babe to our family and start this crazy ride all over again.
A year to have more intentional time spent together as a family and as a couple and hopefully a year where the Kings make a miraculous comeback and make the playoffs.

To all of our family and friends,

Thank you for loving on our family this year and we wish you all of the health, happiness and good fortune in the New Year.

Love,
Jenna

Pumpkin Patch 2018

Norah has been asking to go to the Pumpkin Patch since August so we decided to surprise her with a trip to Bates Nut Farm.

Once she saw the pony rides and petting zoo that's all she cared about. I told her we had to choose our pumpkins first so she ran to the perimeter of the patch grabbed the first one she got to and said she was ready to go! Not without some photos, lady!

We each picked our own perfect pumpkin! Even the baby got a teeny one.

I didn't notice till we got home, but in all of these photos Norah has her hand on her stomach too! I can't get over how excited this girl is to be a sister.

We waited in this pony ride line for over an hour and once we got to the front she told me she was scared and didn't want to do it. A couple pep talks later she got on the horse and loved it.

When she got off she ran over to me and said, "Mom! I was a brave girl!"

Love our little family adventures <3 p="">

Oh, and look at last years pumpkin patch photo...I'm not crying, you are!

You've Got Mail! with Paperless Post

For those of you who don't know me well, I'm a sucker for sending and receiving mail.
Snail Mail, E-mails you name it!

There is nothing better than finding a special surprise in your mailbox and if it's on fun stationary or a beautiful card its even better!

I was recently introduced to Paperless Post and I fell in love!

Its a beautifully curated website where you can send online cards, invitations, and announcements in a really unique, special way.  Not only is it easy, but it's green. No paper waste and the recipient can keep it on their computer or phone!

With Mothers Day coming up I decided to use the App to create a special card for my mom and it was so easy with so many choices from patterned envelope liner to the background and envelope color.

All you have to do is purchase Coins and each upgrade to your envelope or card costs a certain amount of coins.

Browsing the website I found that they partnered with two of my favorites, Rifle Paper Co. and Kate Spade and now I want to send ALL THE CARDS!

Keep your eye open for some really fun mail from me in the future ;)

Childrens Discovery Museum

Today we went to the Childrens Discovery Museum in Rancho Mirage.

They had so many fun activities but the giant lite bright was Norahs favorite!

Giving her turtle a checkup in the animal hospital

This little grocery store was so cute! It even had an ATM out front. Norah filled her cart with every piece of lunch meat and cheese so I think she's on the Keto diet too.  Then she waited patiently in line while another little boy bagged her groceries!

Next was the mini pizza parlor. She made a pizza, put it in the oven then delivered it to our table.

They had a whole building devoted to construction and transportation and she went straight to the rack with the vests and hard hats and got to work rollin balls and pushin trains.

I highly recommend this place! Definitely pack a lunch because there are a lot of outdoor areas to picnic and you can stay all day if you want!

Spring Garden Party

Today Norah hosted a little Garden Party for her friends from MyGym to welcome Spring!

Let me just start off by saying that this little hostess was on another level and that's even before all the sugar she consumed.

The 99 cent store was killing it this month and I found all of these cute, floral papergoods.

Having never hosted a party for toddlers, I planned a gardening activity for them to plant some seeds and decorate pots. They enjoyed filling the pots, and dumping the pots (especially Norah who later came out with a makeup bag to fill with soil).

Note to self: All kids need are bubbles!

We had a picnic lunch of flower shaped sandwiches and snacks inside on our "Grass"

Then some quick photos of the girls, said no toddler parent ever.

Norah had so much fun playing with her friends and giving the sweetest pint sized goodbye hugs

Snow Day

Bright and early this morning we made our way up to Big Bear to give this girl her first taste of snow.

For the last year or so she has been obsessed with snowballs and snow angels because of that scene in Beauty and The Beast and when she jumped out of the car her mind was blown!

"What do you think Norah?!?"

"Is Boo-ya-full!"

And it really was.

I spent a lot of time doing research to avoid crowds and dirty, melting snow. I found a blog post about an abandoned ski resort and there were only a couple other people there. The snow was fresh, and powdery, and plentiful.

I can't believe this Winter wonderland was less than 2 hours from home!
Norah had so much fun and we can't wait to go back to our "Secret spot".
