Beach Bonfire

Last night we celebrated our 4th Annual Beach Bonfire! I can't believe these wonderful people have been in our lives for four years. We've made some wonderful lifelong friends.

Beach Camping

Tim has been wanting to go camping so we decided to do a small one nighter in Carlsbad before we decide to brave the actual wilderness. We had a prime spot and the weather was great! Nothing better than a campfire at the beach with your honey. I was super excited to sleep in the tent on our new air mattress but we both had a hard time sleeping. I guess that's to be expected though. It was still a nice little getaway. Now here's a bunch of pictures!

We worked great as a team setting up and taking down everything so I think we're ready for the big leagues!

Weekend Recap

First of all, I've been feeling like a really lame blogger lately because I missed a few posts last week since I had a couple of rough days health wise. I was going to apologize, but then I realized I'm human and this is just a blog so I'm okay with it.

Now that that's out of the way! This weekend was a lot of fun. We did more than we have in awhile.

Saturday night we drove out to Laguna for our friend Emma's birthday party. It was at this really cute, tiny Italian place nestled amongst a lot of neat shops. Both Emma and I decided we want to live there. When we become millionaires of course. After dinner we walked down to the beach then checked out all of the little shops and restaurants in the area. Both Tim and I agreed that it was nice to be able to get out and be with friends. Plus, Tim looked really amazing...just sayin'.

Sunday we drove down to Del Mar for a Graduation party for my cousin Jamie. It was Linus' first time at the beach. He loved the sand...and eating it..but not the water. The minute it touched his toes he ran for dry land. He was super popular with all of the other dogs and most of the other beach goers. What can I say? He's awesome.

Now I need to go rest my eyes because we were just staring at the solar eclipse. 

Endless Summer Birthday Party

Last night we had a little get together/ BBQ for my sisters birthday. It started off as a small family dinner and me being the party planner that I am, went a little overboard but she totally deserves it!

The theme was "Endless Summer" because she's a little beach bum.

I wanted the party to be very budget friendly so I re- purposed things that I already had and bought

a few things at the Dollar Tree.

We had such a fun time and Linus loved all of the attention. Can't wait till the next get-together!

Hot Hot Heat

Yikes! Its soooo hot today. In fact I think this is the hottest its been since I moved to Long Beach. I went to the beach today and apparently I forgot to put sunblock on the back of my legs because they hurt so bad! Also, there was crazy ladybug infestation and I managed to bring some home in my bag, and some in my car as well. I was just looking at my planner and I feel like these next two months are going to be jam packed! I have something to do pretty much every weekend between birthdays, graduations, partys, mothers day...but it's good..I enjoy having things to look forward to. (I love when I dont have to dress up for work)
