The other day I woke up with the desire to do a home improvement project so
I chose the smallest room in the house, asked The Boy's permission then bought the paint and got to work.
The Downstairs bathroom was soooo boring and this is the bathroom that all of our guests use.
I knew I had to spice it up and in a cheap way.
Before:
If my main purchase was going to be paint, I knew I had to try something exciting.
So, I got my painters tape and was set on STRIPES!
Let me tell you, this isn't as easy as it looks. I tried for about an hour to get the tape straight and evenly spaced and it was almost impossible to do alone. Luckily The Boy was home and could help me knock this out....in about 2 hours (See, not too easy).
But in the end it was all worth it. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of us.
I was ecstatic as I pulled the tape off revealing our handy work.
After:
I went to Target and got the soap dispenser and towels to add a pop of color
I found this awesome shadow box at Marshalls and used the key that I've had forever and I cut
the flowers out of a calendar. I love it!
This is the sweet little ring dish I found at Anthropologie a couple months ago.
I think it looks just like my little Linus so I HAD to get it
I'm still in tweeking mode so I may add some things here and there, but I couldn't be happier
with it. It all started with a quart of paint.
EXPENSES:
1 quart of Valspar paint in Whitewashed Oak: $11.00
Soap Dispenser and Towels: $12.00
Shadow Box: $19.00 (my splurge)
Total cost of renovation: $42.00
Woo Hoo!!!
