New York: Day 5

Sunday Hurricane Sandy was well on her way and our flight had been cancelled.
We knew that transportation would be shutting down that afternoon so we went into the city one last time. When we got there it was so gloomy and abandoned!

We explored Battery Park, Drank Coffee and Hot Chocolate in a park, and walked through the oldest cemetery in the city. George Washington attended several services in the chapel.

Once I saw a rat run under a tombstone I knew it was time for us to head back to our hotel...Little did we know we'd be trapped there for the next couple of days.

  1. What an awesome experience for yall! Not necessarily the part about being trapped in your hotel, but I've wanted to go back to New York so badly lately!

  2. I love all the pictures! You're a much better photographer than I am lol. Glad you got to cross another item off your list, and also that you two made it home safely.

P.S. I love your blue thermal top ;) where's it from?
