Rain, Rain, Go Away

Today we had our first fire in our home...We like to call things here "Family _blank_"
You know.."Family House", "Family Towels", "Family Stain on the Carpet Where The Boy Dropped a Taco"... You get the idea (We're weird).

So yeah, we had a Family Fire today :)

Taco Soup

Tonight I tried a new recipe. Not to toot my
own horn, but it was awesome (and easy).
The Boy actually went back for seconds and I've never seen him do that!

Taco Soup

  • 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans
  • 1 (16 ounce) can white beans or 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans
  • 1 (11 ounce) can niblet corn
  • 1 (11 ounce) can Rotel tomatoes & chilies
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope hidden valley ranch dressing mix
  • 1 lb shredded chicken, ground beef or 1 lb any meat (I used ground beef)

    1. Cook meat and drain.
    2. Shred if needed.
    3. Add all ingredients to crock pot.
    4. DO NOT DRAIN CANS.
    5. Stir.
    6. Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.
    7. Keep on low until serving to keep hot.
    8. Garnish with sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped green onions, or tortilla chips.

    Closet Time

Today I tackled the ever daunting task of cleaning our closet.
Since we've moved in its just been one big heap of clothes, some hanging, some in piles on the ground, and some shoved in plastic bins.
Let me make this known, Tim has far more clothes than I do...In fact, he has some in just
about every room. But sorting through those will be another task, another day.

These pictures don't do it justice...You can actually walk in there now!!!
    It's awesome!

    Sushi Take 3!

Tonight we went to sushi with Mike and Devon.
I decided to give it another try....I think that it's something I'll do every once in awhile
for Tim, but I'm not a fan.
I had fun hanging out with them though!!

When I whipped out my phone to take pictures as usual Mike said, "I've never met someone that
blogs." Funny how I think it's totally normal to take pictures of everyday things and of my food.

Our house got tp'd last night...
We are trying to think of who could havedone it so here are my top guesses:

    1. Our crazy neighbors who fight and smoke weed.
    2. The kid dressed as Freddy that Tim asked if he was a princess.
    3. The kids that came well after the crowds had stopped and asked Tim for the whole
    bowl of candy.
    4. Our nice neighbors that came over to see how our first Halloween went and said,
"Yeah, you've just gotta be nice to everyone so they don't mess with your house."
