I'm a Maggie Sottero Bride!

*Here*

2012

The New Year is finally here!
Personally I don't know how 2012 could top 2011 ,but I think this year
holds some exciting things for us. I can feel it in my bones :)

Doe Eyed Dear seems to be taking off and I couldn't be more pleased. It seems like it just happened over night. I've now got 5 sales under my belt and tons of new items to post in the shop.
I can't wait to start on my new office/craft room that my parents are building me for Christmas!
Nothing says productivity like a cute/organized workspace.

The boy is doing a little better since the septoplasty drama. Still not where he should be but we're hoping his next visit brings good news.

The house is coming along nicely and I can't wait to post a tour sometime soon.
I can't tell you how awesome it feels whenever someone says, "I LOVE your house!" or "Your house is soooo CUTE!"

That's all for today because now I'm just trying to postpone grocery shopping :)

P.S. Pinterest is my life now (After Tim of course). Everyone should join and add me!

My latest obsession.

Blythe Dolls!

I just started noticing them on blogs this year and last night I decided to do a little research on them and I'm hooked . Apparently a lot of other people are too!

Blythe is a fashion doll, about 28 cm (11 inch) tall, with an oversized head and large eyes that change color with the pull of a string. It was created in 1972 and was initially only sold for one year in the USA by toy company Kenner. In 2000 the photo book This is Blythe was published and in 2001 the Japanese toy company Takara began producing new editions of Blythe dolls. There is a network of hobbyists who customize the doll for resale and create clothing and shoes for Blythe. Enthusiasts share photographs of their work and their dolls on the Internet.

People go nuts over these cuties! People go to conventions to show off how they've customized their Blythes and you can buy wigs, clothes, eye colors, props, and air brush their tiny little faces.

Poor Tim is probably already tired of hearing about them!

The problem is they aren't very easy to find. You have to find them on Ebay or buy them from Japanese websites and they run about $200.

Sigh...One day...

Check out all the different types and customizations:

When The Boy's Away...

Today is the first day in about 2 weeks that Tim has been able to go into the office.
I don't know what to do with myself when he's not here!
I even went up to his office to see if he wanted lunch!
I'm crazy.

My First Wedding Shoot

Back in November Heathers brother and his fiance asked if I would be willing to photograph their wedding. I jumped on the chance to try something new and I've already had so many more people ask me to do their pictures!

Before I share some of my favorites, I have to let you all know that I could not have done this without
my amazing husband! A wedding is hard work! He has been so great helping me with EVERY part
of this process. Thanks Cuddlebug!
